I’d like you to accompany me on an exciting journey as I learn to design my own crocheted garments. I’m no expert, so I’m starting out very simply – simple shapes (squares and rectangles), easy-to-execute stitch patterns, and the ways in which various yarns and crochet hook sizes result in a variety of fabrics.

My goal in this section of my website is to provide you with the resources you’ll need to begin your own design journey. I’ll do this through blog posts about my design projects and provide you with the resources I’ve found that have helped me learn and improve my crochet design skills. And I’ll give you a roadmap to follow to make your journey that much easier.

I’ve divided this section into subsections, and you’ll find a separate page devoted to each one.

As I learn more, I’ll come back and update this section of my site. I’ve also included some resources that will help you build your crochet design skills. You’ll find them in my Shop.

You can also search the site (the little magnifying glass in the upper right-hand corner) to locate specific information that’s not included in this section. If you still have question email me at patrice@yarnoverpullthrough.com with your questions, and I’ll do my best to answer them.

My hope is that we can gain confidence together to expand your wardrobe to include your own cool, crochet creations!

I've been crocheting for over 40 years and blogging since 2004 - two of my favorite things in the world to do besides walking the beaches of windward Oahu, Hawaii.
