Morning Brew, Here We Come!

Yeah!  The Windward division of Aloha Knitters finally made it to Morning Brew, a nice coffee shop in downtown Kailua.  A good time was had by all!  There were actually four of us there — me, Chanda, Kim, and Bethany, an attendance record!  Can’t wait for Debbie to join us.

We had several problems with the old venue.

  • First of all, I’m assuming that because it’s in Borders, they just have to BLAST music into what is really a rather small space (so you’ll be compelled to purchase something, I suppose).  There are speakers EVERYWHERE, and with the coffee machines whirring and people talking, it’s hard to hear yourself think much less what people are saying.
  • Secondly, the tables are small (unless we get the long table in the back) and the chairs are pretty uncomfortable (unless we’re able to get the big comfortable couch up front, a rare occurrence).

Morning Brew is much quieter, and the upstairs section with the long table is perfect for our needs.  Not to mention the fact that they have real food to eat.  So we’re going to make that our Tuesday night meeting place for now.

Okay, Debbie, we’re waiting for you!

I've been crocheting for over 40 years and blogging since 2004 - two of my favorite things in the world to do besides walking the beaches of windward Oahu, Hawaii.
